Blue Light Youth Driver Navigation Programme – Volunteers Needed.

The Blue Light Youth Driver Navigator programme is designed to help support young people to ultimately get their full drivers licence. It is especially designed for those young people who may not have access to the right support to be able to learn to drive, e.g. a vehicle or someone to teach them to drive.

Learner drivers are supported to gain their Learners, Restricted and Full Licences. Each learner driver is matched with a volunteer driver navigator who is trained and supported by the programme coordinator and a professional driving instructor. We currently have 5 senior students in need of assistance with this initiative – Blue Light are in need of more volunteer drivers to support our young people in this programme. If you or someone you know has the ability to donate time to this programme, please contact the Blue Light Youth Driver Navigation Co-ordinator – Elliot Hira at elliot@bluelight.co.nz
